As part of the 65th anniversary of the Diocese of Allentown, Bishop Schlert invites the faithful of the Diocese to consecrate themselves to the Holy Eucharist on the Feast of Corpus Christi, June 7.
Beginning on May 5, we are invited to let 33 Days to Eucharistic Glory lead us each day. 33 Days to Eucharistic Glory by Matthew Kelly offers daily reflections to deepen our relationship with Jesus Christ and strengthen our faith in His Real Presence in the Holy Eucharist.
Each parishioner is invited to make the Total Parish Consecration on June 7, the great Feast of Corpus Christi. The books have been generously donated and are available at no cost to you.
If you wish to join a small group discussion each week, you are invited to participate at one of the following times:
- Saturday, 3:30–4:10 PM at St. Anthony, Saints Room
- Sunday, 9:00–10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mercy, Parish Center
- Sunday, 9:30–10:10 AM at St. Anthony, Saints Room
- Sunday, 10:00–11:15 AM at Our Lady of Mercy, Parish Center (español)
Or you may simply read and reflect in the solitude of your own home.
Please note that Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is available on Friday evenings from 6-7 PM at Our Lady of Mercy Church and beginning on May 6, every Wednesday immediately following the 12:10 PM Mass at Our Lady of Mercy, continuing until 6:45 PM.
The Eucharist is the greatest gift God has given us. The Church describes the Eucharist as “the source and summit of the Christian life.” Under the humble appearance of bread and wine, Jesus Christ is truly, really, and substantially present—Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity. This sublime mystery stands at the very center of our life as a Church. The more deeply we enter this mystery, the more profoundly we are transformed by the love of Christ.
I invite you to spend some quite time with the Our Lord Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. I look forward to this consecration to Jesus in the Eucharist with great anticipation and joy.
Rev. Keith Laskowski Pastor, Roman Catholic Churches of Easton
