Knights of Columbus: Union Council 345
Our Legacy of Service
Union Council 345 was established 120 years ago in the City of Easton. Over the years, the council has built a distinguished record of service, dedicating its efforts to both local Catholic parishes and the broader community.
Parish Involvement
The council actively serves several parishes, including Holy Ghost, Our Lady of Lebanon, Our Lady of Mercy, St. Anthony of Padua, and St. Jane Frances de Chantal. Through these partnerships, Union Council 345 supports parish initiatives and strengthens the bonds within the faith community.
Commitment to Charity and Volunteerism
As Knights, members are dedicated to creating a better world by engaging in acts of charity and volunteer service. The council’s activities are guided by the principles of faith and a spirit of giving, aiming to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Knitting Ministry
Overview
The Our Lady of Mercy Knitting Ministry was established in 2006 as both a social and charitable group focused on knitting and crocheting for those in need. Since its inception, the ministry has brought together members of the community to use their crafting skills for a variety of important causes.
Charitable Causes
- Gracedale Nursing Home: The ministry creates lap robes for residents, providing comfort and warmth to those in long-term care.
- “Warm Up Our Lady” Program: Each year, members knit and crochet hats, scarves, and mittens. These items are placed in the church vestibule for anyone in need of winter accessories.
- The Chemo Bag: The group makes chemo caps that are donated to this non-profit organization, supporting individuals undergoing cancer treatment.
- Local Pregnancy Centers: Baby items are crafted and donated to local pregnancy centers, offering support to new and expectant mothers.
- Lily’s Foundation: The ministry provides preemie hats and sweaters, ensuring premature infants receive handmade warmth and care.
- Easton Area School District’s Family Connection: Hats are made for children aged 2 through 5th grade, helping to keep young students warm throughout the school year.
Get Involved—No Experience Needed!
The ministry is always seeking new projects and welcomes individuals who are interested in joining. No experience is necessary—members are happy to teach newcomers and provide all necessary materials.
We meet Tuesdays from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the Sts. Of The Americas Room.
